Killer Mike & 2 Chainz - Black Power. White Powder

Killer Mike & 2 Chainz link up for the politically charged “Black Power. White Powder.”
The long anticipated collaboration between Killer Mike and 2 Chainz is finally ours to behold. “Black Power. White Powder.” was first heard during the Netflix docuseries Rapture when Nas was breaking down certain levels of hip hop analysis, after which a segment aired of 2 Chainz dealing with his short-term disability. He spoke with Billboard about the habits formed out of being the subject of a documentary film: “The Rapture experience was dope. It was cool to see it go from concept to a show on Netflix telling my story my way. Always great to connect with my ATL fam Killer Mike on music, especially for the Rapture project.”

“Black Power. White Powder.” isn’t hard to distinguish from other 5 tracks included in the Soundtrack. The single brings about a more politically engaged version of the always cunning 40 year old rapper, best known for his extravagant displays of wealth. His counterpart, Killer Mike has made a living out of “pledging allegiance to the grind.” Killer Mike’s public interjections have cost him a bit of fanfare in recent times, his views often overshadowed by the liberal majority.

The full tracklist for the Rapture Soundtrack is as follows:

1. Let Me Work (prod. By Just Blaze) – G-Eazy
2. Gold Digger – Dave East feat. A Boogie Wit Da Hoodie
3. Care To Say About It – T.I. feat. Rapsody
4. NYCHA – Dave East feat. Nas
5. Black Power. White Powder. – Killer Mike & 2 Chainz
6. State of Emergency – Logic feat. 2 Chainz

Quotable Lyrics:

I got money, I got money
I bought freedom, I bought freedom
I earned my shit riding in them traps serving them geekers
I bought a lawyer, I bought a lawyer
He beat them cases, He beat them cases
You should seen them dirty cracker racist faces
