Atlanta has a loaded scene of talent and it continues to evolve through the Quality Control label. Pee and Coach K have helped groom some of the city’s best young rappers in Lil Yachty, the Migos and others with nearly everybody on the label achieving an impressive level of success. Lil Baby seems to be the next project that QC is undertaking, helping him to build his career and discover a sound that people can identify him with.
While he claims in “Never Needed Help” that he, well, never needed any help, the young rapper has been put in a position where he can receive advice from experienced members of the music industry as well as some of Atlanta’s greatest artists right now. Showcasing what he can do while gloating about how much money he’s made this year, “Never Needed Help” is a good track to start with if you’ve never listened to Lil Baby.
My vision was blurry and now I see clear
You wouldn’t believe what I made in a year
Draped in designer I’m sticky as hell
I run Atlanta, I should be the mayor
